According to the studies of the Pediatric Cardiology Center for the Republic of Croatia (for which the mentioned equipment is meant to be purchased), which is situated in the Pediatric Clinic in Zagreb, there are currently over 10 000 children with congenital heart diseases, and every year 500 more are being born.
The users are born with complex congenital heart defects, which in many cases end up in palliative surgeries in Croatia and abroad (Germany and Austria).
Thanks to the fetal ultrasound device, the target group is also unborn children, for which with this device, even in mothers womb, many malformations can be
diagnosed and also prepared for the future treatment after the childs birth.
are an important group of users which receive crucial information and psychological help through the Association.
Health is the most valuable treasure anyone can own, and our Association is dealing with children whose health is seriously damaged by difficult heart problems.
We, the parents involved in the Association can`t imagine our lives without our children, but neither without their condition.
Our voluntary work isn`t only about improving the health condition of our children, but also about affecting prosperity of other children. By that we think about
the children that are yet to be born or are already born as heart patients.
Therefor our action „Big heart for little heart“ is focused on raising funds for purchasing medical equipment which would help a lot in diagnosing difficult heart conditions, before and after birth.
